We’re excited to kick off a new series introducing you to the talented writers behind Capture Your Story—the people who help bring our clients' life stories to the page with care, curiosity, and skill.

"I grew up in Southern California but have lived in Israel since 1994. I spent my first 25 years here as a yeshiva student and later as a journalist before turning away from the media industry.
In addition to writing for Capture Your Story, I run debate groups for middle and high school students and am currently working on a master’s degree in education.
It’s impossible to single out one CYS episode as a favorite, but the stories that stay with me are the ones that show the incredible resilience people are capable of.
One client, just a young child during WWII, recalled running for the bomb shelter during the Nazi blitz on London. Their family had already walked 160 kilometers from Antwerp to Dunkirk to escape the Nazis—eventually reaching safety in Britain, though separated from his father for a long time.
What amazed me most was how he spoke about those years, with no bitterness:
'𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨... 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘯𝘦𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 – 𝘸𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘶𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘥-𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 "𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳" 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘩𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘯𝘦𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴.'
It’s stories like these that remind us why this work matters."
Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight more of the incredible writers behind Capture Your Story!
