Welcoming Kari to the Capture Your Story team

At Capture Your Story, everything we do is rooted in a single, simple belief: every family's history matters.

That is why we are so incredibly happy to share some wonderful news: Kari Zimmerman has joined our team as our new South Florida Community Representative.

If you live in the South Florida area, you might already know Kari. She has spent decades working closely with families and seniors within the South Florida Jewish community. Over those years, she has built a reputation centered on trust, deep empathy, and genuine care. We knew she was the perfect fit for our team because she shares the exact same passion for legacy preservation that drives us every day.  

Her motivation for doing this work is deeply personal. When we were talking recently about why keeping family histories alive matters so much, Kari shared something that truly touched our hearts:

"If I could have my parents back for just one day, I would spend it recording every story they ever told me."  

It’s so easy to think we’ll have time to write things down or record our parents' memories "someday." But all too often, those irreplaceable pieces of a person's life journey are lost to time simply because no one took a moment to capture them. Kari is here to make sure those stories are beautifully documented and preserved, waiting for the generations yet to come.  

Expanding our roots in South Florida

In her new role, Kari will be working with families across Miami, Palm Beach, and Broward counties. She will be right there to guide individuals through the comfortable, rewarding process of turning a lifetime of memories into beautiful, heirloom Life Story books. She’s here to ensure that future grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always look at these books and know exactly where they came from.  

Creating meaningful partnerships

We also know that legacy preservation takes a village, and we love collaborating with other professionals who care for seniors and families just as much as we do. Kari will be leading our professional partnerships in the region, and we are really looking forward to connecting with:  

• Community leaders and organizations who want to introduce warm, high-touch legacy preservation resources to their members.  

• Estate planning attorneys and financial advisors who understand that a true family legacy is about so much more than just financial assets, and who want to offer a deeply meaningful, unique value-add to the families they advise.  

• Senior care providers and professionals who are dedicated to honoring their residents' or clients' incredible life histories and enhancing their overall experience.
